May 14, 2021 - The next ILMA #LubeTrends Town Hall is this upcoming Wednesday, May 19, at 2:00 p.m. EDT, to discuss the newly formed International Fluids Consortium (IFC) and what it means for the North American lubes industry.
Announced last month, the IFC intends to develop and license a new set of international automotive fluid performance specifications. Teri Kowalski of Toyota, which has been the voice of the consortium, will join ILMA CEO Holly Alfano to explain why major OEMs have made this move and answer some of your questions. Mike Kunselman and Rebecca Cox of the Center for Quality Assurance, which will administer the licensing program, will help explain the implications for ILMA members and the broader industry.

Pay close attention to water accumulating in containment sumps and the potential for water entering the interstice of double wall pipe. If you believe this may have happened, it is strongly recommended that you contact a petroleum service company and remove the water before it freezes and causes damage. If you receive an alarm in one of your sumps, immediately determine the cause and take appropraite corrective action to prevent further issues.
