Anti-stripping Additives
for Hot Mix Asphalt
MidContinental Chemical's
anti-stripping additives keep pavements together
longer. These additives increase the bonding ability
of the asphalt cement to aggregate; resulting
in a mix that is more resistant to the effects
of moisture. Benefits include a substantially
longer-lasting asphalt pavement and improved tensile
strength, which translates to savings in maintenance
and repair costs from base courses to surface
mixes.
Suppress Emulsion for Soil
Stabilization and Dust Control
Applied as a dust suppressant, MidContinental
Chemical's suppress emulsion provides
a durable water-resistant surface. It is an environmentally
sound solution for dust
control and stabilization needs.
Our diesel
fuel additives provide fuel detergency, corrosion
control, and stability enhancement. They help
protect against wear by improving fuel lubricity
and controlling harmful deposit build-up. They
also help improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.
Bio Diesel
Our soy-based premium diesel additive upgrades
#2 diesel to premium. It boosts fuel economy,
cleans injectors, increases lubricity, extends
engine life and reduces
emissions. It is the environmentally friendly
way to enhance diesel engine performance and maintain
clean air standards.
Premium Diesel Components and
Additives
Our diesel and premium diesel packages are used
in a number of applications from
over-the-road, to agricultural, to marine fleets.
They improve winter operability and cetane numbers.
Each market segment requires its own unique chemistry
and
support programs.
Common components of our premium
diesel packages are:
Cetane Improver
Wax Anti-Settling Aids
De-icers
Cold Flow Improvers
Corrosion Inhibitor
L-10 Superior Detergent
Fuel Stabilizers
Dispersants
Demulsifiers
Both the IRS and
the EPA require the addition of red dye to certain
classes of diesel fuel. However, each agency requires
that the dye be added to a different class of
fuel, at a different concentration, and for a
different reason. MidContinental Chemical offers
dyes that help petroleum distributors and users
meet these requirements.
MidContinental Chemical
has the latest generation of intake valve detergents
(IVD), designed to meet current government regulations
and performance needs for gasoline marketers.
And our staff can help you maintain the required
records related to the use
of IVD additives. This includes developing a custom
volumetric additive reconciliation (VAR), training
on collection of this data and review of the data
to assess compliance.
The formation of ice crystals in fuel tanks can
block the aircraft's fuel line or filter,
causing engine failure. Our anti-icing aviation
fuel additive is designed to control icing
in aircraft fuel by depressing the freezing point
of water.
